Obituary for Shirley Jean Kirby Shirley Jean Kirby, 82, of Delaware, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Inn at Olentangy Trail. She was born December 15, 1935 in Marysville, Ohio to Neva (Yoakum) and Chester Rittenhouse. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1953 and was the 1st Graduating Class of Nursing at White Cross Hospital where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse.

She worked as a Public Health Nurse, worked in the Labor and Delivery Dept. at Riverside Methodist Hospital until 1977. She worked part time as a bus driver for Buckeye Valley School Systems and retired from the United States Postal Service.

She was an avid book reader, anything by John Grisham and Nora Roberts and golfed in her earlier years mostly at Millcreek Golf Club. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Steven) Babcock, God Daughter, Kim Marie Shea, a brother, David (Chris) Rittenhouse of Marysville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2009.

Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Robinson Funeral Home from 4 to 7 P.M. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. with Rev. Wallace White officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
