Obituary for Michael West Adams Michael West Adams, 67, passed away on June 26, 2018 in his home in Providence, RI. He was born on September 3, 1950 in Marietta, OH. In 1964, the family moved to Manassas, VA where Mike graduated from Osbourn High School in 1968.

He was an all-star athlete in track and basketball. He was a 1972 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH with a degree in Political Science. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

Mike was a natural born salesman with an amazing gift for gab. His first job out of college was selling bedding at Lazarus Department Store in downtown Columbus. Throughout the years he sold just about everything you can imagine in the many places he lived.

To say Mike loved to shop would be an understatement. He knew the location of every thrift store in New England and was constantly on the prowl looking for bargains. He loved the game of golf.

Mike was a devoted son, brother and father. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than to be with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Survived by his mother and step-father, Kathy (West) & Ted Heiskell – Delaware, OH; sister Cynthia Adams (Eric Bruce) – Columbus, OH; son Wesley Adams – New York City; daughter Courtney Adams Maslak (Andrew) – Vergennes, VT; her two children Joshua and Clara; and step-siblings Diane Heiskell Rex, Jeanette Heiskell Edwards, and Dan Heiskell. Preceded in death by his brother Jeff Adams, and his father Richard Curran Adams. Robinson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A private family only graveside service will be held on July 26 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, OH.
