Obituary for Valerie Beth Stultz Valerie Beth White Stultz, age 71, of Delaware died Thursday, June 14, 2018 in the St. Vincent hospital after a brief illness. She was born January 10, 1947 in Cleveland to Martin and Beth (Doescher) White. Having spent much of her life in education, the Rev.

Dr. Valerie Stultz believes she is called to guide people of all ages to Christ through deep listening, informed teaching and passionate preaching. She is a retired clergy member and District Superintendent of the East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in Delaware, Ohio. Originally from Pepper Pike, Ohio, the Rev.

Dr. Stultz received her bachelor’s degree with a teaching certificate from Ohio Wesleyan University and the State University of New York. She earned her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio and her Doctor of Ministry in pastoral leadership from Wesley Theological School. She also has a Certification in Spiritual Direction, which she received from John Carroll University.

Amidst her many leadership positions within the church, the Rev. Dr. Stultz has also traveled to Haiti, Nigeria, Israel, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Korea, Budapest, and Mozambique for educational and mission trips. On July 8, 1967, Valerie married Francis “Buck “Stultz and he survives in Delaware.

Additional survivors are her children: Cara (Steve) Stultz Costello of North Canton, Marny (Mark) Saldanha of Buffalo, New York and Dan (Stacy) Stultz of Delaware: grandchildren, Arthur “Eli“ and Atticus Costello, Anna and Doescher Karassik, and Liam and Reid Stultz: Brother, George (Ellen) White of Cincinnati and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Valerie was preceded in death by her brothers David and Tom White. Following the 2 PM service there will be a time of fellowship.
