Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Clark Thomason, 90, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Born in Kearney, NE, August 29, 1928, Dorothy grew up in Leeton, MO and lived in IL, IA, FL, MI, NC and spent most of her retired years in Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her beloved Mother, Velma Cox Clark, and her sister, Mary V. Saxton.

Dorothy was a loving mother and devoted friend. She believed in living life to its fullest, and she did so, bringing levity and light into every room she entered. She literally saw the world, and a stranger never met a kinder soul.

She will be remembered by all those who loved her by her smile, her wit, her love of nature, love of music, love of words… and her delight in and devotion to God’s special creation: songbirds. Once a member of the Leeton Baptist Church where she served as pianist and choir director, her faith was foremost, and she considered her inevitable death to be a part of the stream of life and the pathway to her Father at the gates of a glorious Heaven. Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Jacklyn Ann Landgrebe, Leeton, MO; her son: Charles Clark Baker, Waynesville, NC; four grandchildren: Lorenz (Lisa) Richter, Suzanne (Eddie) Collins, Jason Landgrebe and Joshua Landgrebe; and great-granddaughter: Savanna Collins.

She is also survived by two brothers: Dwight L. Clark and M. Dee Clark and a sister-in-law, Jane Clark, and many beloved cousins. Dorothy’s casket will be closed prior to her funeral; her priority of visiting with the living far surpassed any act of mourning the dead. A graveside memorial service will be held at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, MO, on Thursday, Feb 21, 2019 at 11 AM in celebration of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be donated to the maintenance fund for Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, MO.
