Douglas proudly served in the US Air Force. In addition to his mother, Douglas is survived by a sister, Ashley M. Gallagher of Phoenix, AZ; a half-brother, Dylan Elkins; a niece, Caitlyn Drosehn and two nephews, Jacob Drosehn and Azlan Elkins. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Gloria Consentino of Dover Plains and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
