Obituary for Elisa Manzo Elisa Manzo, 87, a resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Providence Rest Nursing Home in Bronx, NY. Born on April 4, 1930 in Sarno Salerno, Italy she was the daughter of the late Alberto and Assunta (Esposito) Rega. On July 10, 1955 in Sarno Salerno, Italy she married Giuseppe Manzo who predeceased her on July 28, 2009.
Mrs. Manzo is survived by her loving children, Assunta DiLaura of Dover Plains, NY, Michelino Manzo and his wife, Santina, of Bronx, NY, Rosetta Manzo Orefice and her wife, Justina, of Yonkers, NY, AnnaMaria Bruno and her husband, Vincent, of Yonkers, NY, Gaetanina Martin and her husband, Christopher of Dover Plains, NY and Albertina Manzo and her husband, Michael Kirk of Stanfordville, NY. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Manzo was predeceased by a son-in-law Angelo DiLaura, two brothers and three sisters.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY. Entombment will follow at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
