Hartselle Funeral service for Doyce “Don” Higginbotham, 91, will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nathan Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Higginbotham died on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. He was born November 24, 1926, in Lauderdale County to Hubert Higginbotham and Ettuce Juanita Stanford Higginbotham.

He was employed by General Motors as a Supervisor prior to his retirement after 40 years of service. He also was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Higginbotham was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Survivors include : his Wife: Neysa Higginbotham One Son: Gene Weir (Margie) Two Daughters: Cindy Blackwood (Tim) and Becky Vincent One Brother: Donald Higginbotham Two Sisters: Bobbie Lee and Carol Borden (Dwight) Eight Grandchildren Seven Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Tim Blackwood, Dwight Borden, Derrick Vincent, Drew Vincent, Dan Higginbotham and Neal Archer.
