Doyce Randolph Gregson, age 81, of Sanford, NC, fought a good fight and finished his course and went to meet his Savior on Friday, June 29, 2018. He was born in Lee County, NC on October 25, 1936, to the late Henry Gregson and Edith Talley Gregson Hilliard. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and North Carolina National Guard for 27 years.

He was the Mess Sgt. of the local National Guard Unit for many years. Doyce was an avid reader of military books and was very knowledgeable about military history and collectables.

He loved woodworking and he worked many years in the furniture making business. He is survived by his loving church family at Morningside Presbyterian Church and his life-long friend Betty Lou Godfrey; the Godfrey family; friend Harvey Daniels and his caretaker Kathy Smith. Receiving of friends will be Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with the funeral following in the chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev.

Wendal McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery with military honors.
