Obituary for Doyle David Fields Print Doyle Fields – Kingsport, TN Doyle David Fields, 77, of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital. Doyle was born in Scott County Virginia on May 1, 1941 to the late Barnie Robert and Lizzie Belle (Begley) Fields. Doyle worked as a Stamping Machine Operator at Kingsport Press/Quebecor Printing retiring after 40 years of service.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter, Trudy Fields and wife Sabrina Hess, Johnson City, TN; son, Barnie Fields and wife Kim, Kingsport, TN; Ex-wife and best friend, Shelia Fields; sister, Phillis Stokes and husband Junior; Yuma, VA; brothers Gale Fields, Snowflake, VA, Jerry Fields, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Holly Fields, April Fields, Brandy Gilliam, and Justin Church; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends; and his special dog Shealey Sue. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Shelia Fields. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Robert Fletcher, Pastor Donnie Humphrey, and Brother Ron Adams officiating.

Music will be provided by Sabrina Hess and River of Life Praise Team. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, January 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Carter Cemetery in the Stoney Creek community of Scott County, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Gate City Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.

Shane Fields, Jeff Fields, Robbie Stokes, Shannon Stokes, David Gibson, Peanut McConnell, L.C. Beavers, Eric ‘Rambo’ Simpson, Ronnie ‘00’ Smith, and Justin Church will serve as pallbearers.
