Obituary for Doyle Crabtree Doyle Lee Crabtree, 81, of Murphysboro, passed away at 5:08 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, Illinois. Doyle was born on February 28, 1937, in Murphysboro, to Curtis Crabtree and Mary (Miller) Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree had worked as a roofer.

Doyle is survived by three children Tamara (Jeff) Newcomb of Harrisburg, Lisa (Joe) Smith of Herrin, and James (Rhonda) Crabtree of Percy; seventeen grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; four brothers Don Crabtree of San Benito, TX, Dean (Cheryl) Crabtree of Elkville, Jessie (Doraine) Crabtree and John Crabtree, all of Gorham; and three sisters Lela Caswell and Hazel Johnson, both of Murphysboro, and Margie Braden of Carterville. He was preceded in death by one son Michael Crabtree, two brothers, one sister and his parents. His body will be cremated and the family will have a memorial service in Murphysboro at a later date.
