Dr. Alton Arney, age 85 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab. He was an Ashburn Creek, Tennessee native, born August 25, 1933 to the late Clark Fowler Arney and Serephine Hunter Arney. He practiced Dentistry in Russellville for 40 years, was an Air Force Veteran in West Texas, was a member of First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets, where he served as Deacon, was Past President of the Rotary Club and served on the Russellville Independent School Board.

He is survived by: His Wife of 57 years ~ Yvonne Arney 2 Sons ~ Dr. Casey Arney and wife, Kelly ~ Nashville, TN Dr. Keane Arney ~Pensacola, FL 3 Sisters ~ Eloise Huffman ~ Russellville, KY Avodell Bryant ~ Franklin, KY Sandra Huffines ~ Franklin, KY 3 Grandchildren ~ Spencer Arney, Margaret Arney, and Douglas Arney ~ All of Nashville, TN Funeral Services for Dr. Alton Arney will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets, with Bro. Joe Ball and Mickey Meguiar officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the church will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. and lasting until time of the services at 1:00 pm.

Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s Research at Vanderbilt or First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
