Walsh age 95 of Hubbard who passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at home. Jack was born October 14, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA. a son of William D. & Ruby DuRoth Walsh.

He was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh and a 1953 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Jack was an optometrist for 45 years, practicing with Dr. Louis Bloomberg before opening his own practice in West Middle and retired in 1998. He was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church, Sons of the American Revolution, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, Men’s Garden Club of Fellows Riverside Garden Mill Creek Park, Trumbull Art Group, and a Mason.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II Pacific Theater. His wife the former Evelyn H. Kokinakis whom he married July 26, 1946 passed away April 2, 2013. He will be sadly missed by his family; his son Jeff (Janet) Walsh of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his daughter Diane (Terumitsu) Sasaki of Tokyo, Japan, five grandchildren and one great grandson.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, his brother William D. Walsh II, his sisters Kathryn Walsh and Janet Walsh. There will be calling hours Friday February 1, 2019 from 3-6 PM and Saturday prior to the service from 10-11 AM at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Dr. Jack will be laid to rest at Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
