Roskie November 11, 1931 – January 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card There will be services held at 11 AM on Saturday January 19, 2019 at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home in Hubbard for Raymond C. Roskie age 87, of Wheatland who passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Sharon Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Raymond was born November 11, 1931 in Hubbard, Ohio a son of John & Annie Gale Roskie. He was a 1949 graduate of Hubbard High School.

He worked at GATX in Masury for 27 years retiring in 1984 and was a member of Corner House Christian Church where he was a former trustee. Raymond was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War from 1949-1953 as a Staff Sergeant in Erding, Germany and was a member of Wheatland American Legion. He was very caring and loved spending time with his family.

He enjoyed helping his neighbors, was a great story teller and never knew a stranger. He will be sadly missed by his family; his wife the former Lorraine C. Chamberlin whom he married April 15, 1955; and his four daughters, Jennifer (Craig) Kelsey of Hermitage, PA. , Darlene (Paul) Joseph of Flagstaff, AZ.

, Ellen (Gary) Cimo of Sharon, PA. , Tracy (Mark) Colella of West Middle, PA. , and eight grandchildren Lindsey (Dan) Hilton, John Falconi Jr., James Kaikis, Christopher Kaikis, Victoria (Kevin) Shaughnessy, Gino Colella, Angela (Ante) Mesin, Mark A. Colella, two great granddaughters Rylie and Nadia, several nieces and nephews and his cat Tiger.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Seelye and Margaret Adkins, and his brothers Glenn F. Roskie and John G. Roskie. There will be calling hours on Friday January 18, 2019 from Noon to 3 PM and Saturday January 19, 2019 one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Raymond will be laid to rest at Corner House Cemetery.
