Earl Wittrock, 89 of Carroll, died Sunday, January 06, 2019 in Carroll, Iowa. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at St. John Paul II Parish, Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr.

Kevin Richter, Con-Celebrant and Homilist will be Fr. Tim Johnson. Music will be by Dr. Franklyn Busby, Pastoral Musician and Sherry Loughran, Cantor.

Lector will be Dr. Linda Iler. Mass Servers will be Brody Strother, and Ryder Strother. Gift Bearers will be Rhonda Straight, and Karla Lampe.

Eucharistic Ministers will be Dr. Linda Iler, and Becky Strother. Casket Bearers will be Randy Wittrock, Rick Wittrock, Ron Wittrock, Dan Wittrock, Keith Wittrock, and Shawn Wittrock. Burial will be in Mt.

Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, Iowa. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Friday, where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6 p.m. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church on Saturday morning, where visitation will resume from 9-9:45a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, and online condolences may be left for Earl’s family at www. sharpfuneral.com.

Earl was born on February 1, 1929 at Halbur, Iowa, the son of August, and Ella (Drees) Wittrock. He attended St. Augustine School in Halbur. Earl married Vernell Bueltel on September 19, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton, Iowa.

The couple made their home southwest of Carroll. Earl is survived by his wife Vernell of Carroll; daughters: Dr. Linda Iler of Lake City, Rhonda Straight of Grimes, Karla Lampe of Fairgrove, MO; sons: Randy (Linda) Wittrock of Jefferson, Rick (Joan) Wittrock of Dedham, Ron (Elaine) Wittrock of Carroll, Dan (Chris) Wittrock of Irving, TX, and Keith (Amy) Wittrock of Garden City, Minnesota; daughter-in-law: Carrie Wittrock Sapp of Carroll; 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Darlene Wittrock of Halbur, LaVerne Wittrock of Halbur, Jolene Handlos of Carroll; and a brother-in-law Duane Bueltel of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. Earl was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Wittrock, a son Chad Wittrock, and a son-in-law Michael Iler; his parents, his parents-in-law: Louis and Irene Bueltel; his sisters: Freda Wittrock, Beatrice (John) Behrens, Mildred (Ed) Sturm, Bertilla (Norbert) Rohe, Laura (Lester) Joens; brothers: Walter Wittrock, Marvin Wittrock, Vic Wittrock; a brother-in-law Paul Handlos, and a sister-in-law Velma Bueltel.
