Eddie’s Obituary HIS LEGACY~Eddie Gilmore was born in Okahumpka,FL to the late Joshua & Noree Gilmore. He was one of 7 children born to their union. Mr. Gilmore began his education at Smith Brown School and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Florida A & M University.

Mr. Gilmore served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Marksman Medal, and the prestigious Purple Heart medal. Later in life Mr. Gilmore served as a Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church. On February 8, 2019, Eddie departed this life in Nocatee, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Gilmore; children: Saundra Hill of Atlanta, GA, Cecilia Brown of Nocatee,FL. , Carla ( Michael) Smith of Palatka, FL, LaToya (Alexander) Gandy of Tallahassee, FL; Siblings: Joshua Gilmore of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Corine Gilmore Darring of Jacksonville, FL, Dorothy Mae Gilmore of Tampa, FL.

He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Carlton Robinson ,Jr. , Scottesha Miller, John Clemons, III, Dwayne Pugh, Jr. Alexandria Gandy, Alexander Gandy, Jr. Michael Smith, Jr. Linda Smith, Malik Smith, Tatyana Smith, Shakia Smith, Kansiha Lee, Skyla Shepard, Malik Smith, Jr. as well as a host of extended family. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lorine Gilmore Duggins and Dorothy Jean Gilmore; one brother: Allene Gilmore Butler Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:00pm at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL with Rev.
