Judy’s Obituary Judy W. Marler, age 72, passed away from this life Tuesday morning, February 5, 2019 at her home in Arcadia, FL surrounded by her loving family members. Judy was born January 20, 1947 in Elba, Alabama to Early and Eunice Sanders. Judy moved to Florida permanently in her early 30’s with her four children.
Judy was a single parent and a great provider for her children. She could never sit still. She always had to be busy cleaning or on the go.
She was a giver not a taker. Judy gave her life to the Lord around the age of 40. She loved her family, and the church, but loved the Lord more.
In her younger years, she would be on top of the house helping repair the roof. She also drove a fruit loader. She operated a chain saw, pruning trees.
Judy’s saying to her children was “Lazy Children make lazy adults, I am determined that y’all will not be one “. Judy knew how to swing a switch and to throw an orange. Judy enjoyed cleaning, shopping, daily visits to Wal-Mart, yard sales, auctions, vacations, and going out to her favorite restaurants.
Judy was a member of the Church of God for many years. Her home church was Bowling Green Church of God and currently attending Myakka Church of God. She was custodian for Bowling Green Church of God for over 25 years.
She took a lot of pride in cleaning the church for the Lord. If you have ever helped her and it wasn’t done the way she wanted it, she would come behind you and clean it. Judy never met a stranger if she had a question she had no shame in asking.
Her sweet spirit blessed all those who knew her. She loved giving compliments by telling people how pretty and handsome they were. Judy’s prayers were for her family and loved ones to be saved.
She wanted everyone to know she loved the Lord. Judy is survived by one daughter, Tonya (Fernando) Gomez of Arcadia, FL, two sons, Thomas (Tonya) Johnson, of Winter Haven, FL, James G. (Hilda) Henderson Jr., of Apollo Beach, FL. , one brother, James Sanders of Troy, AL.
