Gordon’s Obituary Gordon Lee Shellhouse, age 78, of Arcadia, FL, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his home. Gordon was born September 9, 1940 in Miami, Florida, moving to the DeSoto County area nine years ago from Bonita Springs, FL. Gordon was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

He worked in the painting of automobiles as his vocation, however, he enjoyed woodworking and the making of furniture. He enjoyed Bar B Queing and spent a great deal of his time in the preparation of food for the VFW and the American Legion while living in Bonita Springs, FL. He was former members of both the American Legion and the VFW.

He thoroughly enjoyed saltwater fishing. Survivors are his daughter, Tina Baker, Plant City, FL, one brother, Roger Shellhouse, and three sisters, Barbara (John D) Harvard, Arcadia, FL, Jean Johnson, Arcadia, FL, and Cynthia Englund. He also leaves four grandchildren, Mark James Bright Jr., Billy Joseph Baker, Brett Lee Baker, and Jacqueline Renae Shellhouse Barh and four great grandchildren.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Eva Stebelton Shellhouse, son Gordon Lee Shellhouse Jr, and a brother Dennis Shellhouse. There no services scheduled at this time.
