Emerson’s Obituary Emerson Robert Jones Sr., age 79, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his home with his loving family at his bedside. Emerson was born June 12, 1939 in Wauchula, Fl. He was a lifelong resident of Wauchula and Hardee County, FL.

Emerson was a graduate of Hardee High School “Wild Cats”, where he played football. He attended the University of Florida. He enjoyed working outdoors raising citrus and watermelons.

Emerson was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Wauchula, FL where he served as an Elder. Survivors are his beloved wife, Mary Lynne Jones, Wauchula, two daughters, Mary Lynne (Brent) Driskell, Wauchula, FL, Julie (Mark) Crews, Sarasota, FL, one son, Emerson Robert Jones JR. , Sarasota, FL, one sister, Lee Mallory, Haynes City, FL, seven grandchildren, Milli Lynne Jones, Jacqueline Shea Jones, Emerson Robert Jones III, Jackson Robert Driskell, James Ian Crews, Nathan Samuel Crews, Matt (Carolyn) Driskell, and one grandson, Jace Driskell.

Emerson is preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Alma Katherine Murrell Jones, and one sister Dorothy Lambert. Visitation will Tuesday, from 1:00pm until 1:30pm at the Faith Presbyterian Church, 114 N. 7th Avenue, Wauchula, FL Funeral services will at 1:30pm at the church with Rev. Brook Larrison officiating.
