Edith Mae Curlee Little “Granny”, 96, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 after living a long and full life. Mrs. Little was born December 4, 1921 in Oakboro, to the late Dee and Lectie Whitley Curlee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judith McGee; grandson, Robbie McGee; brother, Jack Curlee; sister, Louise Curlee, and son-in-law, Bo Hartsell.

Edith was a member of Oakboro United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She retired from Cannon Mills in Concord, NC, where she was employed for over 40 years. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 11:00 am, at Oakboro United Methodist Church, 405 North Main Street, Oakboro, officiated by Rev.

Gene Moore. Burial will follow at the Smith Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at Highway 138, Oakboro. Granny is survived by her sister, Myrtle Drye of Oakboro; daughter, Linda Hartsell of Midland; son-in-law, Bob McGee of Oakboro; grandson, Jamie Hartsell of Midland; grandson, Joey Hartsell (Holly) of Midland; granddaughter, Julie Crayton (John) of Oakboro; grandson, Mark McGee of Oakboro, great-grandhildren, Toby and Hope Hartsell of Midland, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Regina, Peggy, and Geraldine whom Granny loved like family. Thank you for loving little Granny and spoiling her rotten just like she was your own. We are forever grateful for you.
