Gary Wayne Sapp, 65, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord. He was the son of the late Wayne and Gert Sapp. Gary loved working in the yard, going to the mountains, and going to old car shows.

He was a great provider and took great care of his family. Most importantly, he was a faithful servant of God and was in church as much as he could be when his health would allow. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm ,Friday, May 25, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord .

The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1:00pm at New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Pastor Roger Bostic. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Survivors include wife, Carolyn, daughters, Tracy (Lonnie), and Stacy; brothers, Tim, Jeff, and Robbie Sapp; grandchildren, Anthony Hunter and Abigail Christenbury; step-granchildren, Eric Christenbury and Nicole Murillo.
