Dallas Ray Aistrop, 70 passed peacefully at his home in Mt. Pleasant on May 8, 2018 after years of declining health. Dallas was born November 27, 1947 in Russell County, VA.

He was the son of Marcus H. Aistrop and Virginia Henderson Aistrop. He is survived by his former wife and longtime caregiver, Alana T. “Dobby” Aistrop; two sons, John Aistrop (Sara), David Holmes (Wendy), two stepchildren, Kelly Shankle and Shannon Huneycutt (Scotty), eleven grandchildren, and three brothers, Daryl Aistrop, Bobby Aistrop, and Mark Aistrop. Dallas was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church where he attended regularly until his health did not allow.

He was a member of Derita Masonic Lodge 715. He was a retired truck driver who enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being outdoors. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord on Friday, May 11th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The funeral will follow visitation at 3:00 in the chapel with Rev.

Roger Bostic and Rev. Joey Spry officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include: Christopher Aistrop, Noah Aistrop, Grayson Huneycutt, Scotty Huneycutt, Jeremiah Cruse, and Daryl Aistrop; Honorary Pallearers Jonah Aistrop, Ezra Aistrop, and Easton Huneycutt In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, 555 Neisler Rd, Concord, NC 28025.
