Gary Alexander Lowder, 71, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. Mr. Lowder was born August 31, 1946 to the late Jessie and Ruby Lowder. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lowder; sister, Patricia Lowder, and half-sister Bonnie Carpenter.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home – Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Jimmie Bartley and Rev.

Thomas Andrufski. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory, with military honors, 2001 E. Main St. Albemarle. Survivors include: wife, Wanda F. Lowder; sons, Scotty Lowder and wife Becky, Chad Lowder; grandsons, Scotty W. Lowder, Jr, Cody A. Lowder, Logan J. Lowder; granddaughter, Gideon F. Lowder; brother, Ronnie Lowder; half-brother, Mac McIntyre, Tim McIntyre; half-sister, Debra Burris, and a special uncle, Jerry Lowder.
