Obituary for EDMUND D. LOMBARD Edmund D. “Footsie” Lombard, 88, of Baldwinsville, passed away Friday at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to the late Michael and Anna (DiVirgilio) Lombard in 1930. Ed was a graduate of Solvay High School and was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

Ed served as a NYS Trooper with Troop D and Troop T, where he retired from in 1978. He was an usher at the Dome for SU basketball and other events for over 10 years. He was a member of Grace Communion Church of CNY.

His memberships included the American Association of Retired NYS Troopers, PBA, American Legion Tipp Hill Post, Geddes Vets and he was a past member of Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Santa DiBenedetto, 4 children; Michael (Linda) Lombard, of Lakeland, FL, Laurie (William) Guzek, of Lynchburg, VA, Edmund (Annette) Lombard, of Liverpool and Christopher (Theresa) Lombard, of Portland, OR, 10 grandchildren; Michael Jr (Mariana), Mark, Christopher, Melanie, Kristina, Nicholas, Kyle, Marissa, Justin and Harper, 2 great-grandchildren; Isabella and Michael, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 am Friday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
