Obituary for JAMES E. PHILLIPS James E. Phillips, 82, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Southampton, Long Island in 1936 to the late Edgar and Loretta (Moran) Phillips. He graduated from Mohawk Valley Tech with an AAS Degree in retail/business management.

He was a buyer, then manager of Dey Brothers Department Stores in Baldwinsville and Fairmount for 38 years. He later was an assistant manager at Marshalls Department Store for 5 years before retiring in 1998. James was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Marjorie (Martin) in 2003, infant daughter, Sharon Louise Phillips and son-in-law, James Fitzgibbons.

He is survived by 3 sons; Lawrence (Alison Neuman), of Liverpool, Daniel (Beverly), of Baldwinsville and Gary, of Baldwinsville, 2 daughters; Linda (Patrick Pettinelli) Fitzgibbons, of Baldwinsville and Laura (Timothy) DeCook, of Liverpool, sister; Judy Wilenski, of Hampton Bays, LI, sister-in-law; Patricia Phillips, of Southampton, LI, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
