Edna M. Heschke, age 89, of Waupaca, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Bethany Pines. Edna was born in Mattoon, WI on September 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Tony and Laurel (Elliott) Lipinskie. On August 2, 1947, she married Vernon Heschke at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar, WI.

Edna worked for many years in the housekeeping and laundry departments at Bethany Home and also had worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill, Riverside Hospital and Woody’s Cheese Company. She is a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca. Edna is survived by her husband: Vernon Heschke, Waupaca; her children: Charlotte (Kenneth) Heger, Waupaca; Sharon Heschke, Larson, WI; Jeanne Christensen, Waupaca; Robert (Sharon) Heschke, Waupaca; Gary (Terry) Heschke, Pine River and Kaye Betley, Wautoma; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and her sister: Pauline Jones, Antigo, WI.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Scott, one brother and one sister. The Christian Funeral Service will be on Monday, Feb. 4 at 11 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca with Reverend Ben Kempfert, officiating.

Burial will be later in the spring at Lakeside Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and also on Monday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Edna’s name.
