Obituary for Edward E. Sadlowski Edward Sadlowski, 79, a union activist who represented thousands of steelworkers in Chicago and Gary, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Fort Myers, Florida after a long battle with dementia. Ed was born September 10, 1938 in Chicago, IL a son of the late Edward and Mildred (Sanders) Sadlowski. Sadlowski is survived by a wife Marlene; four children, Susan Garza, Patricia Hoyt, Edward Sadlowski, Jr. and Diane Agelson; 11 grandchildren, David Garza, Ryan Garza, Kate Garza, Tyler Garza, Deanna Hoyt, Adrianne Hoyt, Faith Sadlowski, Evelyn Sadlowski, Ed Sadlowski II, Angela Agelson and Hallee Agelson; and two great grandchildren, Aria and Sofia Garza.
