Edward “Ed” Marvin Nulf, 71, of Michigan City, passed away peacefully at 4:44 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Franciscan Health – Michigan City. He was born December 29, 1946, in La Porte, Indiana, to Marvin and Emma Georgia (Masterson) Nulf. Ed honorably served his country in the United States Army Airborne.

He formerly worked for Allis-Chalmers and was a self-employed carpenter. Ed was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, Michigan City. He enjoyed participating in… Read More » a bowling league in Michigan City.

Ed especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. On June 3, 1989, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Emma Christine (Roach) Nulf, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Jill (Jeremy) Dunn of La Porte, Brian (Christina) Qualkenbush of Shakopee, Minnesota, David (Lisa) Paul of Louisville, KY and Christopher (Susan) Paul of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, William (Rebecca) Nulf of Fish Lake; one sister, May Lou (Fred) Newland of Walkerton; fifteen – grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his daughter, Penny Nulf. Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
