Robert D. Johnson, 71, of Valparaiso passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at home. Robert was born on August 14, 1946 in Gary, IN, to Clarence and Ruby (Meandza) Johnson. On June 8, 1985, he married Robby Williams who survives.

Also surviving are his beloved children, Benjamin (Kasie Pointer) Williams and Rebecca Johnson; 6 grandchildren, Maeve Ransom, Mason Pointer, Gavin Babcock, Michael, Casey and Marc Parsons; sister, Sandra (Mladen) Grcic; nieces and nephews, Zora (Puyo) Zizich and Milos Grcic; great nephew, Nikola; many beloved cousins; and many great-grand fur babies. He will be deeply missed by his constant companions Petey, Zoey, Snowy and Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchild, Keynan Johnson.

Robert was an electrician for 35 years at Bethlehem Steel Burns Harbor. Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
