Edward Owen Beavin, 75, of Owensboro, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 7, 1943 in Daviess County to the late Joseph Edward Beavin and Sadie Havener Beavin. Edward “Ikey” retired from Kenergy after 34 years of service and enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Brody. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sandra Lambert Beavin; a daughter, Terri Yewell (Todd Jennings) ; a son, Robert Owen Beavin (Robin); grandchildren, Amber Gower (Tim), Robert Ryan Beavin (Lorie), Cristin Millay (Justin), Sarah Beavin (Darren), Erik Beavin, and Bailie Yewell; great-grandchildren, Timmy Gower, Nick Gower, Tosha Smith, Robert Smith, Connor Millay, Adalynn Millay, and Abbie Beavin; a brother, Bobby Joe Beavin (Bettye); sisters, Linda Jones (David) and Sue Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with Tony Boyken officiating. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
