Obituary for Edwina Burke Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Francis Home. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Duchowski) Andruskiewicz, Edwina was born March 30, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She married Raymond Burke on August 2, 1947. He predeceased her August 27, 1997. Edwina was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 21 years until her retirement in 1990.

She was a member of St. Dominic Parish. Edwina enjoyed bowling, playing cards, baking, sewing and gardening. Most of all, she loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, two daughters and their spouses, Dennis and Linda Burke, Hemlock; Richard Burke and Karen Sullivan, Ann Arbor; Mary Jo and Randy Yott, Clio; Jay Burke, Prudenville; Sandra Burke-Shifter and her husband Scott Shifter, Traverse City; seven grandchildren, Keith and Misty Janks, Nicole Janks, Joshua Janks, Christopher Burke, Ashleigh and Tighe Carter, Zachary Arnold, Samantha Arnold; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Edwina was preceded by two daughters, Carol Janks and Connie Jo Burke, a daughter-in-law, Lisa Burke, a granddaughter, Heather Janks, three sisters and one brother, Martha Revard, Anne Roski, Stella Marker and Lawrence Anderson. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw in Saginaw.

Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with burial in Mt.

Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.

A Vigil Service, led by Sharon Wahl, Pastoral Associate, will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
