Obituary for Louella Joyce Heinz HEINZ, Louella Joyce of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison, with her family at her side. Louella J. MacFarlane was born on June 18, 1927 in Bay City the daughter of Alexander and Bertha (Furber) MacFarlane. She was 91 years old.
She married Edward J. Heinz on October 5, 1951 in Saginaw; he preceded her in death on April 22, 2013. Louella was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing golf and cards.
She especially enjoyed traveling and spending time up to the cottage in Tawas with her husband. Louella truly enjoyed spending time with her family and their Boston Terrier dogs; but most of all the grandchildren. Surviving are her three sons: Edward (Carol) Heinz of Saginaw, Scott Heinz of Saginaw, and Todd (Marlene) Heinz of Saginaw; eight grandchildren: Chad (Jennifer) Heinz, Brandon (Kelly) Heinz, Ashley (Drew) Davis, Jennifer Heinz, Justin (Kelly) Heinz, Scott, Jr. (Melissa) Heinz, Lauren Heinz her fiancée, Joshua Andrus, and Chandler Heinz; Eleven great-grandchildren and a sister, Betty Shark.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Louella was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander MacFarlane and Bertha and step-father Ferris Stock. Louella was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Patricia and Cynthia, and four brother and sisters, Margaret, Dorothy, Millie and Robert.
FUNERAL: Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State). Pastor Paul R. Hinz will officiate. Entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum will follow.
VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., as well as on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
