Obituary for Betty Lou Sanchez Betty Lou Sanchez, Bridgeport, Michigan. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and beloved friend passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the University of Michigan Medical Center with her family at her side. Age 75 years.

Daughter of the late Alberto and Tomasa (Ruiz) Saldana, Betty was born August 8, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to John Dionicio Sanchez on December 25, 1966. He survives her.

Betty was previously a member of First Baptist Church for many years and most recently attended Hopevale Church. She was a charter member of Mujeres Asociadas de Saginaw, first female vice president of the Mid-Michigan Hispanic Business Association and very involved in her church and community. Her major pride was her family and friends but especially her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband John are three sons and two daughters, John (Veronica) Sanchez, Columbiaville; Christian (Marta) Sanchez, Saginaw; Leticia (Adam) Mikolajczak, Grand Blanc; Javier (Sandra) Sanchez, Grand Rapids; Lydia (William) Hubbard, Lansing; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lena (William) Green, Florida; Jo Peters, Saginaw; Irene Nemeth, Arizona; many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Rd. Pastor Dan Miller will officiate with private burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A Memorial Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
