Obituary for Elfrieda Mary Devine CEDAR FALLS-Elfrieda M. Devine, 97, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Garwin, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Western Home Communities-Martin Center. She was born April 24, 1921, in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Carl and Frieda (Boettcher) Lehman. She married Clarence L. Devine on August 12, 1944, in Muskogee, OK.

He died in November of 2001. She graduated from Algona High School in 1939 and Iowa State Teachers College in 1944. She taught in several schools in Iowa prior to starting her family.

Survived by: a son, Brian (Kathy) Devine of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Maggie (Brandon) Winterton of Gaeta, Italy and Mickey Devine of Cedar Falls; and great grandson, Oliver Winterton of Gaeta, Italy. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Western Home Communities Chapel. Family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel.
