Elizabeth Ann Chick, 86 of Burlington, died Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Great River Klein Center in West Burlington. Born on July 20, 1932 in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of George and Frances Neff Owen. She married Raymond Eugene Chick on December 21, 1952 at the First Christian Church in Burlington.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Burlington High School and worked at Murray Iowa Works and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant after graduation. She also worked as a lunch server at Corse Elementary School for several years. Elizabeth was a truly devoted mother and grandmother who was always willing to offer help and guidance in any way possible to those around her.

Her kindness, strength and faith guided all of her children and grand children throughout her life. Elizabeth was a life long member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Vickie (Roger) Thomas of Burlington and Cheryl (Brian) Jass of Ankeny; seven grandchildren: Nick (Jessica) Giberson of Natick, MA, Brett (Christine) Giberson of Urbandale, IA, Brooke Giberson of Ankeny, Robyn Chriswell of Burlington, Brittany (Jeff) Schroeder of Stanhope, IA, Tyler (Gabrielle) Jass of Kansas City, and Stacy Chriswell of Greensboro, NC; five great-grandchildren: Alex Giberson, Isaac Giberson, Kayla Giberson, Kinsley Giberson, and Noah Schroeder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Chick, her daughter Kimberly Chriswell, her parents, George and Frances Owen, her sisters Marjorie Owen Fielty and Virginia Owen, and her brother George Owen Jr. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at First Christian Church. The funeral service for Elizabeth will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 28, 2018, at First Christian Church with Reverend David J. Yonker officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
