Obituary for Elizabeth Bankowitz Elizabeth Ann Bankowitz 84, known affectionately to her friends as “Betty Ann,” of Irvington, NY, passed away September 6, 2018. She was born in Dobbs Ferry, NY on August 26th, 1934 to Charles Raffa and Helen Altieri Raffa. She was a homemaker and proud mother of two.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Raffa and her mother Helen Altieri Raffa of Dobbs Ferry. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Alex Bankowitz, her son Dr. Richard Bankowitz of Washington, DC, her daughter Susan Monteiro, and her grandson Philip Monteiro of Dobbs Ferry. The family will receive guests at Edwards Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday, September 9, from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM on Monday September 10th at Our of Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
