Obituary for Mrs. Maureen Moylan Gomez IRVINGTON, New York. Maureen Moylan Gomez of West Hartford Connecticut and Irvington NY passed away at home in Irvington surrounded by her family who had gathered by her side. Maureen lived a full, healthy, and passionate life.
Maureen was born on Oct 13th 1932 in West Hartford Connecticut to Thomas P. Moylan and Katherine Hickey Moylan. She was the third of the four children Patricia, Mary Katherine, and Thomas. Maureen attended the prestigious Mount St. Josephs College and was a Graduate of St Francis School of Nursing in West Hartford.
It was at St Francis Hospital where she met her beloved Husband, Alfred M Gomez MD of 60 years. They started their lives and family together in Martin, Kentucky later moved to Philadelphia Pa and then finally settling in Westchester NY where they raised their five Children: Alfred, Valerie, Catherine, Maureen, and Laura. As a Nurse, Maureen practiced at St Francis Hospital, an OR Nurse at Columbia Presbyterian NY, and as a School Nurse for the Rivertowns.
She was an active member of St Johns Hospital Auxiliary, Immaculate Conception Church including the Altar Rosary Society. Maureen was predeceased by her eldest daughter Valerie, her sister Patricia, and brother Thomas. Maureen leaves her beloved husband Alfred M Gomez MD, Children: Alfred Gomez (MinhHoa) Texas, Catherine Gomez Aird (Richard) VA, Maureen E. Gomez Irvington NY and Laura Gomez of Irvington NY; 4 Grandchildren Brandon, Caitlyn, Matthew, and AJ.
Her Sister Mary Katherine Pellizzari, Sister in Law, Joan Moylan, Sister and Brother in Law, Val and Mary Lou Gomez, and many beloved Nieces and Nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
