Obituary for William “Billy” R. Edwards William “Billy” R. Edwards, 63, a former resident of Briarcliff Manor and Hawthorne died December 13, 2018. Billy was born August 27, 1955 at Dobbs Ferry Hospital to Orville and Joyce Edwards. He attended BOCES schools and had lived most of his adult life at Briarcliff House, a group home for developmentally disabled citizens.

Billy had been a loyal employee of Club Fit in Briarcliff where he was treated with respect and love by the staff until illness forced his retirement. Although his verbal communication was limited, he charmed people with his smile and pleasant disposition. His family will cherish memories of him as he enjoyed tossing wadded up Christmas present wrapping paper.

He is survived by his brother Jon Edwards, his sister Alison Drevlow, his sister in law Judith Edwards and three nieces: Karyn Niles, Susan Mosher and Laurel Edwards, also surviving are six grandnephews and one grandniece. Billy will be buried with his mother and father at Ferncliff Cemetery. Funeral Service 1:00pm Monday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry.
