Elizabeth “Betty” Hagton, age 81, formerly of Dayton passed away at her residence in Columbus on January 5, 2019. Member of Zion Lutheran Church (Obetz); Certified nurse practitioner for 60 years, PhD in special education and director of Special Education for Dayton City Schools. U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Betty was a huge activist for special needs individuals. Preceded in death by husband, Rolf G. Hagton; parents, Aubrey and Sofia Pullin; sisters, Joan Deming and Eleanor Goske. Survived by son and son-in-law, Rolf Hagton and John A. Kitchens; siblings, John Haluska, Kathy Olmstead, Dianne Hundorfean, and David Haluska; nieces, nephews and best friend, Shirley Hoover.

Her grand-dogs, Jack and Ollivander. Family will receive friends, Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 4 – 7 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10 a.m., Pastor Matthew Cox officiating. Interment 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio.
