Elizabeth “Betty” Steinmetz (nee Gesty) age 87 years of Gibbstown went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 6, 2019 in Inspira Hospital, Woodbury. Mrs. Steinmetz was born and raised in Paulsboro. The Daughter of the late James Gesty Sr. and Elizabeth Gesty (nee Merger) of Paulsboro.

She graduated from Paulsboro High School Class of 1950. She was a homemaker and lived in Gibbstown for over 60 years. Mrs. Steinmetz was a member of Clonmell United Methodist Church, Gibbstown where she taught Sunday School.

She enjoyed caring for her family and her home. She is survived by her son, Edwin Steinmetz Jr. of Mickleton, her daughter, Darlene Steinmetz of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Adam, Christian & Victoria Steinmetz; her sisters, Bertha Reed of Gibbstown and Dianne Happel of Pennsville and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Steinmetz was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Steinmetz Sr.; her brother, James Gesty Jr. and her sister, Judith Gesty.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Friday February 15, 2019 in the McBride -Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday after 1 PM until service time. Inurnment private.
