Clawson, Elizabeth Jayne “Betty” 94, of Johnstown, died October 13, 2018 at Good Samaritan Palliative Care Unit. Born November 18, 1923 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Louis Sievers and Amelia (Kiepert) Sievers; husband Clyde D. Clawson, Sr.; brothers Louis Reese, Robert Reese, Francis Reese, Frederick Sievers and sister Helen (Reese) Replogle.

Betty was sadly preceded in death by three of her children; Betty Jayne Evans, Kenneth Clawson, Fred Clawson and daughter-in-law Carol (Geisel). Survived by sons; Clyde (Sally Steepe), Robert (Dororthy Evans), John (Linda Harshberger) all of Johnstown and daughter Emilie (Duey) Hinton of Bradley, IL. Also survived by daughter-in-law Patsy (Chambers) Clawson and son-in-law Robert Evans.

Survived by grandchildren Marcie, David, Sally K, Tom, Tammy, Fred, Stephen, Ken, Brian, Sandee, Bob, Suzie, Jimmy, Wendy, Noah, Jake, Amelia and numerous great and great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty was an active member of Grace Assembly of God for almost 80 years. She had a servant’s heart and served in various roles at the church.

She loved her family very much. Betty’s infectious laugh and fun-loving spirit will be missed but will live on in those who loved her. The family would like to thank the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Good Samaritan for their compassionate care.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 16th, at MOSKAL & KENNEDY COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 219 Ohio Street Johnstown. Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17th, at Grace Assembly of God Church, Rev. Doug Price, officiating.

Interment Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Assembly of God Church.
