Elizabeth Whitehead Wood, age 90 of Lewisburg died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Maury Regional Hospital. Mrs. Wood was a native of Marshall County, and she was the daughter of the late James Eddie and Ruby Collins Whitehead. She was retired from Faber Castell and was a member of the Farmington Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Wood, Jr., son in law, Larry Hastings, and sister, Ella Mae Hickman. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Hastings of Lewisburg and Wanda (Thomas) George of Madison, TN, son, Eddie (Felicia) Wood of Lavergne, TN, sister Mary Etta Pratt of Flat Creek Community, brother, J.T. Whitehead of Franklin, TN, five grandchildren, Mary Beth (Adam) Metz, Steven (Kim) George, Amy (Courtenay) Taylor, Emily Hastings, and Meredith Wood, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cochran cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Farmington Church of Christ 2192 Highway 40, Lewisburg, TN 37091 or Cochran Cemetery Association. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2:00p.m. until the funeral hour.
