Mahlon Russell, age 87 of Berlin died Wednesday, May 09, 2018 at his home. Mr. Russell was a native of Giles County, and he was the son of the late William and Tennie Pearl Fralix Russell. He was retired from Uni-Web knitting mill, and he was a member of the Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Sue Ricketts, three sisters, Nannie Mae Duncan, Lena Duncan, and Elizabeth Wright, and two brothers, Robert and James Russell. He is survived by his wife, Sammie Gethel Cates Russell of Berlin, two daughters, Peggy Jane (Aubrey) Burch of Brunswick, GA, and Tammie Jean (John) Barron of Lewisburg, two sons, Danny Ray (Becky) Russell of Columbia, and Gary Mahlon (Elaine) Russell of Chapel Hill, and son in law, Glenn Ricketts of Lawrenceburg. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mimosa cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday until the funeral hour.
