Ellery D. Ecker, age 55, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 27, 1963 in Amsterdam, a son of the late Douglas Ecker and Frances Hillman Ecker. Ellery worked as a Truck Driver for Cason Transport in Duanesburg for many years.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. He is survived by his wife Denise Blanchard Ecker who he married on October 4, 1980, one son Ellery A. Ecker; two daughters Crystal Newkirk (Roger, Jr.) and Felicia Hinkle (John); two brothers Shawn Ecker (Janice) and Douglas Ecker (Vincenza), one sister Peg DiGiacomo (Nick) and five grandchildren Kaylee, Allyson, Alexis, Olivia and Everleigh. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
