Ellis Harold Crosby of Seminary, Mississippi August 12, 1939 – January 28, 2019 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Ellis Harold Crosby, 79 of Seminary, who passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at his residence. Bro. Clay Williamson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Crosby Cemetery in Seminary.

Special music will be provided by Mr. Matthew Pickering. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Lane Crosby, Cade Knight, Jace Howell, Matthew Pickering, Michael Yawn, and Steven Sanford. Honorary pallbearers will be Lemuel Brady, Archie Mooney, Howard Sanford, Perry Conerly, Kenneth Sanford, and Harold Sanford. Mr. Crosby was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.

He worked in the automotive industry as a body and paint repairman for several years before entering into the timber and wood business. He retired after twenty-three years of managing a wood yard for Richton Tie and Timber. Then he worked for Greg Crosby Logging alongside his son, Greg Crosby for twelve years before fully retiring.

He was a Christian man and a family man. He loved horses, the outdoors, and reading. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Toxie and Rosie Crosby; one sister, Doris Crosby; and one brother, Hubert Crosby. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Jeanette Sanford Crosby of Seminary; two daughters, Phyllis Howell, and her husband, Jeff of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and Cheree Knight of Seminary; one son, Greg Crosby, and his wife, Carol Leigh of Seminary; six grandchildren, Lacan Ellis (Curt), Kelbie Howell, Lane Crosby (Amanda), Cade Knight, Jace Howell, and Shayne Knight; five great-grandchildren, Gunner Ellis, Leah Ellis, Jennings Ellis, Luke Crosby, and Tucker Crosby; five sisters, Joyce Brady (Lemuel) of Hattiesburg, Betty Sanford (Howard) of Petal, Gloria Mooney (Archie) of Seminary, Linda Keys of Seminary, and Sheryl Conerly (Perry) of Purvis, and one brother, Toxie Crosby (Paulette) of Ellisville; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
