Elmer “Fudd” Bowens, age 73, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Bowens was born on August 6, 1944 to the late Paul Bowens and Lonnie Bates. He was an Automotive Mechanic specializing in Ford Automotive products.

Mr. Bowens served his country in the U.S. Army, and he was a member of the Charleston Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Bowens loved his family and coaching local sports. T. Franklin, Austin Franklin and McKinzy Franklin; three brothers and one sister.

Preceding Mr. Bowens in death are his parents, and one sister. Visitation for Mr. Elmer Bowens will be Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 3:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Rev.

Patrick Yates will officiate the funeral service. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to be made to: DAV Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 or the Wounded Warriors Project, Operation First Response, 20037 Dove Hill Rd. , Culpeper, VA 22701.
