Elmer Lester Sr. November 10, 1939 – February 07, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kingsport, TN – Elmer Lester Sr., 79 Elmer Lester Sr., age 79 of Kingsport, TN passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born November 10, 1939, and was the son of the late Porter and Ella Baker Lester. He was veteran of the US Navy from 1958 to 1962 and former pastor of Christian Fellowship Church, Kingsport, TN.

Mr. Lester retired from ownership of Auto World of Big Stone Gap in 2016. He was present business partner of Community Motors along with long time business partner and friend John Morrissey. Mr. Lester’s co-workers at Community Motors were his best of companions.

Mr. Lester is survived by wife, Richalene Matney Lester; children, Elmer Lester Jr. (Buddy) and wife Mona, Elma Kay Page and husband Richard, Richalene Laynn Patrick and husband Chris; grandchildren, Sarah Dawn Wade and husband Troy, Richard Aaron Page and wife Brittany, Cody Dennis Lester and wife Brittany and Logan Alexander Lester; great-grandchildren, Levi Harrison Wade and Lilah Grace Wade; brother, Delmar Lester and wife Thelma. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 12 noon to 2 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. At 2 PM Pastor Mark Haga will provide scripture reading and prayer.

Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City VA with American Legion Post #3/265 and Virginia National Guard providing military honors. Pallbearers are Rick Page, Chris Patrick, Troy Wade, Aaron Page, Cody Lester, and Logan Lester.
