Obituary for Emmie Janet Gibson Blacksburg — Emmie Janet Gibson, 63, of 235 Deana Lane, passed away Thursday, September 6th, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland. Born in Spartanburg, she was the wife of John Gibson and the daughter of the late Ben Foster and Eva Tucker Estes. Mrs. Gibson formerly worked in textiles and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gibson is survived by a daughter, Angel Tetreault; two brothers, Donald and Frank Foster; three sisters, Joan Sanders, Brenda Creeley, and Betty Ross; and seven grandchildren, Brianna Lopez, Marcus Ledford, Caleb Gibson, Noah Gibson, Chase Gibson, Katie Gibson, and Michael Burnette. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Minnie Lee. A memorial service for Mrs. Gibson will be held on Thursday, September 13th, 2018, at 2 pm at Pathway Baptist Church, 106 Parkdale Circle, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 with Rev.
