Heaven welcomed back a wild angel when Eric Bryan Spendlove, 51, passed away on Saturday April 21, 2018 in Ephraim, Utah. He was born on June 21, 1966 in Whittier, California to Daniel Whitney Spendlove and Donna Jean Spendlove Bischoff. He attended Hillcrest and Manti High Schools and graduated from Manti High School in 1984.
Eric loved to travel; he spent time in Ephraim, Huntington Beach, CA, the Philippines, and Logan, UT. He loved to fish, and at any moment he would have grabbed… Read More » his pole and tackle box and headed for the lake for an enjoyable day in the sun with whoever would join him. He was a savvy computer guy, our go-to IT man, an amazing cook, talented Structural Steel Engineer, loyal friend, but most important to him, a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.
Eric has always loved his family. He was opinionated at times, but he would always have done anything he could to help anyone who needed it. He was often taking better care of everyone else than he was of himself.
He had an amazing sense of humor, and a knowing, mischievous smile. Eric lived a kind of gypsy life without the need of a lot of possessions, choosing instead to travel around and spend time with family and friends. He went from one mini adventure to the next, always going somewhere with no set plan, ready to just ride it out to the next one.
Eric is survived by his father Daniel (Chris) Spendlove and mother Donna (Scott) Bischoff, his son Joshua Dillon (Ashley Peel) Spendlove and daughter Jessica (Mike) Alltop, grandsons James Spendlove and Tucker Alltop, sisters Laurie (Marc) Haws, Jennifer (Pablo) DeWaal Lambaren, and Nicole (Scott) Olsen, grandmothers Carol Bischoff and Monty Alvord, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who love and miss him. Eric was greeted on the other side by his cousin Alex Lund and brother-in-law Gregg DeWaal, his grandparents Donald and Barbara Montgomery, Darell and Darlene Spendlove, Keith Bischoff, and Dean Alvord. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 12:00 PM at Nyman Funeral Home located at 753 South 100 East in Logan. A viewing will be held Prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 AM Interment will be in Paradise Cemetery.
