Eric Michael Holcomb, 45, passed away December 12, 2018. He is survived by two children, Thalia and Aiden; sister, Lisa Rassoulian; brother, Brad Holcomb; parents, Roland and Connie Holcomb; aunts, Adriana Dold and Marie Brutzman; uncles, Donald Holcomb and Harold Holcomb; nephew, Keegan Rassoulian; cousins, James Dold, Courtenay McQueston, Don Goodman, Jim Beall and Blake Holcomb; their families and an encompassing group of extended family and friends. Eric was born in Atlanta and spent most of his life in this area.

He was well-suited for his profession as an optician, and was respected for his talents and sought after by his customers. He held the distinction of receiving the J. Gosnell Award for achieving the highest score on the optical license State Board exam in South Carolina. Eric was a loving and devoted father whose greatest joy came from his children and his pride in them.

He loved music, played guitar and dabbled with the piano. He had a passion for all things related to gardening, and his green thumb made any plant he touched thrive. His gentle and nurturing soul was obvious to all who met him.

Eric was also known for his sharp intellect and for his unique sense of humor – whether silly or sarcastic or witty, it was always engaging. The family welcomes friends to a gathering Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Eric’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm.

Both will be held at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, 6101 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084. Eric’s beautiful spirit and loving nature will be forever missed and his absence leaves a hole in many lives. We will miss him so.

May he finally have peace.
