Williamsport, MD – Eric William Jones, 38, of Williamsport, MD passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. He was born on February 15, 1981 in Fort Belvoir, VA to Harry William Jr. and Aleta Marie Cooper Jones of Hagerstown, MD. He was a 1999 graduate of North Hagerstown High School Hagerstown, MD.

Eric was employed by Matheson Tri-Gas of Chambersburg, PA and Frederick, MD as a Site Manager for the past 15 years. Eric owned and operated Canal View Candle and Barrel with his wife in Williamsport, MD. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, designing and woodworking.

He loved music and loved to ride his Triumph. He also enjoyed a good bourbon. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife on 14 years Jessie J. Witmer Jones; son Bradley Jones Maugansville, MD; son Silas Jones at home; son Benjamin Jones at home; Paternal Grandmother Janet Jones of Hagerstown, MD; father in law Robert Witmer of Mercersburg, PA; sister Melissa Staup and her husband George and their children Isabelle and Charlie of Hagerstown, MD; sister Nicole Heffner and her husband Bill and their daughter Charlotte of Maugansville, MD; sister in law Chrissy Witmer and her wife Lacie and their children Addison and Wyatt of Greencastle, PA; brother in law Bobby Witmer of Greencastle, PA; numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents William and Marcella Cooper; paternal grandfather Harry Jones, Sr. and his mother in law Brenda Witmer. The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Beverly Kipe officiant. Burial will be private.
